Thick Shield on Sorc is Poorly Planned

Sorc has so many shields! Stone skin 2 min cd 2277 dmg absorbed (basically the same as the sw) at 581 mana, boon of iron clad 5 min cd for <5 sec for 10000 dmg at 352 mana, linked stigma shield Repulsion Field that has a 1 sec animation that you die during before it goes into effect 70% of the time and costs 1030 mana and has a 5 min cd and goes on cd if it goes off while you are dying, and thick shield, the repeated cast, 5 min cd, usable 5 times only if used in succession (329 mana each for 1645 mana during which you cannot do any other actions) which only absorbs 450 damage each of the applications and doesn't stack with itself or any other shield (and boon overwrites stone skin and repulsion field overwrites boon).

Practical uses of Thick Shield? It doesn't block templar pulls, it doesn't block enough damage to prevent knockback or stun, it doesn't block enough damage to make it worth using over an anti shock scroll, which actually can block a templar pull, has a 1 min cd, and blocks 700 damage. Thick shield was a new skill given to us in 4.0 and has sucked ever since and never given a second look as to whether anyone has found any practical uses for it. And yet, they took away our charging flame harpoon skill (which was also poorly planned due to the long animation per cast time compared to just casting flame bolt or flame harpoon) and didn't take away this piece of crap. The only way it could be considered worth ever casting is if they raise the damage absorption to at least a templar pull like an anti-shock scroll. As it stands, it is a waste of mana and we shouldn't ever cast it unless we have no cc up and are going to die anyway due to being out of kiting options.

Here's how it should be: something that has a 10-30 sec cooldown that we can precast so we don't get instantly pulled, knocked down and silenced by templars or rangers out of breaking sleep. Not a significant damange reduction shield, but something that good players could pre-cast to not get instantly counter cc'd by pull/knockback and 100-0% killed out of breaking sleep. Sort of like an active counter skill that is thick enough to absorb SOMETHING. Get rid of the spam ability of it. That part is useless. Right now, it should be called "Thin shield."

Also, someone needs to look at the mana costs on these skills. They are unreasonable. We have too many skills that cost between are 500-1500 mana on sorc.

Fire Gleeful Ladder replied to xform and flight time

Greetings, Daeva, We understand your frustration and appreciate you reaching out to the community for help. Not receiving a verification email is a common issue that many players have encountered across various games. We’ve checked the forums and have a few potential fixes you can try. Hopefully, one of these will help you get into the game!

Possible Fixes for Verification Email Issue

Check Your Email Folders: This may seem obvious, but it's the most common solution. Please check your spam, junk, and other filtered folders. Sometimes, a legitimate email can be mistakenly flagged and sent there. Add Aion to Your Whitelist: To prevent future emails from being blocked, add the official Aion email address (often something like `noreply@aiononline.com` or an equivalent from NCSoft/Gameforge) to your email account's contact list or whitelist. This tells your email provider that you trust the sender. Try a Different Email Provider: Some email providers, particularly those like Hotmail, Outlook, or Live, are known to be overly aggressive with their spam filters. If you used one of these, consider creating a new account with a different provider, such as Gmail, and try the registration process again. Many players report better success with services like Gmail. Wait for the Email: Depending on server load and other factors, there can sometimes be a significant delay in receiving the verification email. In some cases, it may take several hours or even a full day to arrive. If you've just created your account, we recommend waiting a while longer before assuming it's a bug. Contact Aion Support Directly: If none of the above steps work, the best course of action is to contact the official Aion support team. They have the tools to manually verify your account or provide a direct solution. You can typically find a link to their support portal on the official game website. They will likely ask for your account name and the email address you used. We hope this information helps, and we look forward to seeing you in Atreia soon! Feel free to update us if you find a solution that works for you, as it may help other players with the same problem. Best regards, The Forum Moderator Team
