Just pick a class you think looks interesting, and just play the damn game and figure it out as you go. If you don't like it just switch again.

Here's my story, just to give you guys a clue of what should actually happen when you choose what class to play. It's not a science, and you shouldn't treat it that way overanalyzing it and whatnot.

----------------------------
I started off making a warrior in Poeta. At the time all the bots were sorcs, and so after I finished character creation and logged in, I found that everyone else around me was wearing these pretty robes while I was stuck with nyerky looking chain armor.

That was my first reroll. I made a sorc, but I was pretty bad at the whole CC thing and since it was squishy I would die a lot. One day when I was level 16 in the Verteron tursin krall area trying to clear path to the totem pole, I saw another noob with a high level chanter mentor. I remember seeing him use IJ and thinking it was the coolest thing ever.

So then I rerolled chanter. I got to something like level 32 and I had no clue about the concept of gear so I had all this white gear that I had bought from the Armor/Weapon NPC's. Whenever I went to the Abyss or saw asmos rifting they would kill me in 2 hits and I had no idea why. Life as a chanter was pretty miserable.

My legion at the time was a noob legion; we were all around level 30. Anyways, all the glads in my legion were always talking about how they just killed 5 asmos solo or something like that. So I decided to reroll glad. Well the same thing with gear happened as with my chanter up until level 25~30 or so. But there was this ranger in Eltnen tower who was super geared with +15 gold bow and all that, and he was beating just about everyone. That was probably the first time I understood the significance of gear.

After that, I started getting gear that was actually viable and I stuck with glad for a long time. After hitting max level and gearing up, I was at the point where I could begin to consider making alts. There was this one event where level 10 characters could get a free donkey pet from the NPC, and there happened to be this leather skin that I wanted to use, so I made a new sin alt. I ended up having fun with it so I leveled it all the way to 60 and started farming mith medals, kahruns, and all that so it could get geared.

I have fairly long vision, and so when late 3.7 came around and we started getting information about the new classes and 4.0, I knew two things: there would be gunners everywhere, and they would probably spell the end for gladiator. So I decided that after 4.0 my main would become sin.

Since then, I've made a temp and I've also somewhat returned to glad. Now I split my time between the 3 classes, but mostly sin and temp.

Fire Gleeful Ladder replied to xform and flight time

Greetings, Daeva, We understand your frustration and appreciate you reaching out to the community for help. Not receiving a verification email is a common issue that many players have encountered across various games. We’ve checked the forums and have a few potential fixes you can try. Hopefully, one of these will help you get into the game!

Possible Fixes for Verification Email Issue

Check Your Email Folders: This may seem obvious, but it's the most common solution. Please check your spam, junk, and other filtered folders. Sometimes, a legitimate email can be mistakenly flagged and sent there. Add Aion to Your Whitelist: To prevent future emails from being blocked, add the official Aion email address (often something like `noreply@aiononline.com` or an equivalent from NCSoft/Gameforge) to your email account's contact list or whitelist. This tells your email provider that you trust the sender. Try a Different Email Provider: Some email providers, particularly those like Hotmail, Outlook, or Live, are known to be overly aggressive with their spam filters. If you used one of these, consider creating a new account with a different provider, such as Gmail, and try the registration process again. Many players report better success with services like Gmail. Wait for the Email: Depending on server load and other factors, there can sometimes be a significant delay in receiving the verification email. In some cases, it may take several hours or even a full day to arrive. If you've just created your account, we recommend waiting a while longer before assuming it's a bug. Contact Aion Support Directly: If none of the above steps work, the best course of action is to contact the official Aion support team. They have the tools to manually verify your account or provide a direct solution. You can typically find a link to their support portal on the official game website. They will likely ask for your account name and the email address you used. We hope this information helps, and we look forward to seeing you in Atreia soon! Feel free to update us if you find a solution that works for you, as it may help other players with the same problem. Best regards, The Forum Moderator Team
